60% Expect a Pay Rise in 2025 – But Will Employers Deliver?

Employee expectations are rising—literally. According to our latest FRS Recruitment Employment Insights Report, six out of ten people in Ireland expect a salary increase this year. But will employer plans match up?

  • The report uncovers some fascinating national and regional trends:
  • Majority of employers are planning modest raises of just 1–3%.
  • One in nine employers say they have no plans to increase wages.
  • 45% of employees would switch jobs for a pay rise of just 10% or less.
  • Two-thirds of workers have been asked to spend more time in the office.
  • 70% of people believe they could land a new job in under three months.

And that’s just the beginning.

The full report dives into insights on job security, hybrid work trends, regional disparities, employer sentiment, and the growing impact of economic uncertainty and global trade policy—all backed by responses from nearly 2,000 participants.
