FRS Recruitment Announces New Recruitment Partnership with National Biodiversity Data Centre

November 3, 2026

FRS Recruitment has secured a new Project Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partnership with the National Biodiversity Data Centre (NBDC), supporting the recruitment of six specialist positions that will contribute to the Centre's important work in understanding and protecting Ireland's biodiversity.

FRS Recruitment announces a new recruitment partnership with the National Biodiversity Data Centre to fill six specialist roles.

The partnership marks another milestone in the growth of FRS Recruitment's RPO division, further strengthening its expertise in delivering specialist recruitment solutions for publicly funded organisations.

Through its fully managed Project RPO solution, FRS Recruitment will oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from candidate attraction and application management through to screening, shortlisting, interviews and appointments.

The service will also incorporate the specialist governance and administration associated with public sector-style recruitment campaigns, including candidate information booklets, structured assessment frameworks, interview documentation, professional note-taking and candidate feedback, ensuring a fair, transparent and robust selection process.

Maria Weafer, Talent Solutions Manager at FRS Recruitment, will lead the project, supported by Sabrina Carroll, working closely with the NBDC team throughout the recruitment campaigns.

Six Specialist Opportunities

The initial recruitment campaign will prioritise three positions:

  • Data Analyst
  • ICT Support Technician
  • Invasive Species Programme Manager

The recruitment campaign is now underway, with applications open for the first three priority positions. Further opportunities will be advertised as the project progresses. These will be followed by recruitment for an Invasive Species Field Officer, Invasive Species Strategy Officer and Invasive Species Risk Officer.

Supporting NBDC's Continued Development

Commenting on the partnership, Richard Tilson, Chief Operating Officer of the National Biodiversity Data Centre, said:

“Having the right people and expertise in place is essential to delivering on our ambitions for biodiversity monitoring and conservation in Ireland. We're delighted to partner with FRS Recruitment to attract talented professionals who will contribute to this important work, while ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process.”

Lynne McCormack, General Manager of FRS Recruitment, welcomed the partnership, saying

"We're delighted to partner with the National Biodiversity Data Centre on a project that supports such important work for Ireland's natural environment. "This partnership is another significant step in the growth of our RPO business and demonstrates the breadth of our recruitment capabilities, particularly in supporting publicly funded organisations with specialist recruitment requirements.

"Our Project RPO solution provides organisations with access to dedicated recruitment expertise, established processes and the governance required to deliver complex recruitment campaigns. We're looking forward to working closely with Richard and the NBDC team to attract and appoint the right talent to these important roles."
