Superintendent Pharmacist – Longford

Location: Longford, Ireland
Hours: 24 hours per week – 3 days
Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Superintendent Pharmacist to join an established pharmacy group in County Longford.

This is a senior leadership position offering a flexible working arrangement of 3 days per week (24 hours), with no Sunday or Bank Holiday work and every second Saturday.

The successful candidate will oversee the professional and regulatory standards of the pharmacy business, ensuring compliance with Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) requirements and promoting the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the professional and regulatory governance of the pharmacy business.

• Ensure compliance with PSI regulations, legislation and professional standards.

• Oversee pharmacy policies, procedures and standard operating procedures.

• Provide professional leadership and guidance to Supervising Pharmacists and pharmacy teams.

• Ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services and patient care.

• Monitor professional standards, clinical governance and risk management.

• Support pharmacy audits, inspections and regulatory requirements.

• Work closely with senior management on operational improvements and business development.

Requirements

• Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).

• Previous experience in a Superintendent Pharmacist or senior pharmacy leadership position is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of Irish pharmacy legislation and PSI regulations.

• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

• Experience in pharmacy governance, compliance and professional standards.

• Ability to support and develop pharmacy teams.
