FRS Recruitment is working with an established Main Contractor seeking an experienced Fit-Out Supervisor to join their team in Cork City.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Carpenter / Joiner who has progressed into site supervision, or an experienced Site Supervisor who still enjoys being involved on site and is comfortable lending a hand when required.
The successful candidate will work across commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects, initially within the retail and office sectors. Projects will involve substantial strip-out, refurbishment and complete internal fit-out works, with individual programmes typically running approximately 8–12 months.
This is very much a hands-on supervisory position. Alongside leading carpenters and labourers, the successful candidate should be comfortable getting involved with works on site when required, particularly across carpentry, joinery, drywall and internal finishing elements.
There is a strong pipeline of upcoming projects across Cork, providing excellent long-term security for someone looking to establish themselves with an experienced Main Contractor.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily fit-out and refurbishment activities across site.
- Lead and coordinate carpenters, labourers and subcontracted trades.
- Assist with carpentry and fit-out works when required.
- Manage joinery, drywall and internal finishing works effectively.
- Ensure works progress in line with agreed programmes.
- Maintain excellent standards of work and site quality.
- Coordinate materials, labour and daily site requirements effectively.
- Work closely with Project and Site Management teams.
Requirements
- Strong trade background within carpentry and joinery essential.
- Excellent knowledge of drywall and internal fit-out works.
- Previous site supervisory experience within construction highly desirable.
- Comfortable remaining hands-on and assisting works when required.
- Irish or UK construction market experience is required.
- Confident leading carpenters, labourers and other site trades.
- Strong eye for detail and quality work.
- Keen to develop long-term career with established contractor.
