Role: Weekend Activity Worker

Contract: Full-Time - Permanent - 39 Hours

Salary: €36,448 per annum

Location: North Dublin/ Finglas Based

FRS Recruitment in partnership with Aoibhneas is seeking a Weekend Activity Worker to join our Weekend Support Team to provide activities, programmes and supports for resident children/ young persons in Refuge at weekends/ bank holidays.

The right candidate will provide support and structured services to residents in the Refuge, with an emphasis on progressing needs; ensure the safety and security of residents and represent the work and ethos of Aoibhneas.

Job Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • To provide recreational, social and activity-based supports and programmes to the children in refuge.
  • Ensure all safety and security protocols are observed and enforced.
  • To be able to respond to individual needs and make appropriate referrals were necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of all case files.

Essential

  • Third Level Qualification at degree level (minimum NQF Level 7) in social care or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience working in a social care setting working with children and youth.
  • Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and issues affecting women and children experiencing domestic violence.
  • Have knowledge of Children First.
  • Know how to recognise child protection and welfare concerns.
  • Know how to respond appropriately to child protection and welfare concerns.
  • Flexibility/Adaptability.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a clear understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries.
