Dairy Veterinarian – Saudi Arabia
FRS Recruitment is inviting applications for the role of Dairy Veterinarian on behalf of a leading agribusiness organisation in Saudi Arabia.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to join a large-scale dairy operation, working with high-performing dairy herds in an intensive farming environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maximising herd productivity, health, welfare, and reproductive performance through the implementation of herd health programmes and the delivery of professional veterinary services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and diagnose animal health and reproductive issues across dairy operations.
- Develop and implement effective treatment and corrective action plans.
- Provide reproductive examination and palpation services across multiple farm sites.
- Deliver veterinary support for herd health, fertility management, and disease prevention.
- Participate in an on-call rota and provide 24-hour emergency veterinary support as required.
- Analyse, interpret, and report on herd health and breeding performance data.
- Carry out surgical procedures when required.
- Support disease control and vaccination programmes.
- Conduct post-mortem examinations and assist with the investigation of herd health issues.
- Advise farm management and staff on animal welfare, health, and breeding best practices.
- Deliver training and development programmes for farm personnel in animal health and reproduction.
- Liaise with relevant agricultural and veterinary authorities where required.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, biosecurity, and welfare standards.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Veterinary Degree
Experience
- Proven experience working with large-scale dairy herds.
- Strong background in intensive dairy farming systems.
- Experience operating in arid or challenging climatic conditions would be a distinct advantage.
- Practical experience in dairy herd reproduction, fertility management, disease control, and herd health programmes.

Working Environment
- The role is physically demanding and involves extensive work outdoors.
- Participation in an emergency on-call rota is an essential requirement.
- Travel between multiple livestock sites is required, including driving long distances when necessary.
- The successful candidate must be flexible regarding working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A collaborative approach to rota management and veterinary team operations is essential.
