Trade Counter Sales Assistant – Cork
Permanent | Monday–Friday | 7am–4pm
FRS Recruitment is recruiting a Trade Counter Sales Assistant for a well-established and growing supplier to the construction and building materials sector in Cork.
This is primarily a trade counter and sales role – approximately 65% sales/customer focused and 35% warehouse.
You’ll be dealing directly with trade customers, taking and processing orders, handling sales enquiries and supporting the wider sales team. You’ll also get involved in the warehouse when required, including preparing orders and customer collections.
The Role

Trade counter sales and customer service

Meet and deal directly with trade customers

Handle sales enquiries by phone and email

Take and process customer orders

Build relationships with regular customers

Support the external sales team

Assist with stock control and sales administration

Pick and prepare orders for collection and delivery

Load and unload deliveries

Support customer collections
-
Operate counterbalance and high-reach forklifts
What We’re Looking For
You’ll ideally have experience in trade counter sales, builders merchants, construction supplies, hardware, roofing, plumbing/heating or building materials.
You should be:

Confident dealing directly with customers

Commercially minded with a good sales approach

Comfortable taking and processing orders

A strong communicator

Happy working across both the trade counter and warehouse

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable with a 7am start
Current counterbalance and high-reach forklift licences are required.
