With ambitious plans for continued growth and development, My Client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Lead to join their Cork-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven supply chain professional to take ownership of key operational processes and play a pivotal role in improving efficiency, stock integrity and customer service.

The Role

Reporting into senior management, the Supply Chain Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimising processes across product management, pricing, procurement, stock control and returns. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure smooth supply chain operations while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business.

This position would suit an individual who enjoys creating structure, improving processes and delivering measurable operational results.

Key Responsibilities

Product & System Management

  • Manage and maintain product data across the company's ERP system.
  • Ensure all products are accurately listed, categorised and maintained.
  • Review and update product status information and units of measure to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Drive data integrity and best practice across all product records.

Pricing & Commercial Support

  • Develop and implement processes to ensure product pricing remains accurate and up to date.
  • Support pricing governance and maintain consistency across systems and product ranges.

Procurement & Ordering

  • Streamline and optimise the process for generating customer orders and supplier purchase orders.
  • Develop efficient processes for supplier ordering and order management.
  • Implement systems to track supplier deliveries and ensure accurate stock receipt.
  • Improve communication processes to ensure internal teams and customers are kept informed regarding product availability and delivery timelines.

Returns & Supplier Management

  • Establish and manage robust customer returns procedures.
  • Develop clear guidelines for returns acceptance, stock handling and supplier returns.
  • Ensure supplier return processes are effectively managed and credits are received in a timely manner.

Stock Integrity & Process Improvement

  • Take ownership of stock accuracy and inventory integrity.
  • Work closely with warehouse and operational teams to ensure procedures are followed consistently.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce errors and enhance customer experience.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.

About You

Qualifications & Experience

  • Third-level qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a supply chain, procurement, inventory or operations-focused role.
  • Experience within wholesale, distribution, manufacturing or retail environments would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, supplier coordination and operational processes.
  • Experience implementing or improving business processes and systems.

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with ERP systems is highly desirable.
