Store Manager (Supermarket) - North Co. Galway
You will positively contribute to all aspects of managing the store, including the delivery of budgeted sales and profit targets, shrinkage/waste control, personnel costs, overall standards, procedures and disciplines across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales, gross profit and net margin targets.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, HACCP, Health and Safety and EIQA compliance.
- Ensure excellent merchandising and presentation across Fresh Departments.
- Oversee weekly stocktakes and food production operations.
- Ensure accurate product costing and pricing.
- Manage staff rosters and ensure appropriate cover within budget.
- Lead departmental meetings, set targets and monitor performance.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Develop new concepts and improve departmental performance.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
- Deliver consistently high standards of customer service.
- Deputise for the Store Manager when required.
- Develop and coach team members, supporting succession planning and career development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous retail management experience essential.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Commercially aware with the ability to analyse sales data.
- Confident working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
- Self-motivated, professional and reliable.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
