Social Worker – CAMHS (Young Adult Mental Health Service)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join a Young Adult Mental Health Service (YAMHS), supporting young adults multidisciplinary setting.
We are seeking applications from Staff Grade or Senior Social Workers
for a full
-time position (1 WTE, 5 days per week)
based in Portlaoise but working across Laois and Offaly.
Contract:
• Initial 3-month contract (with potential for extension)
Salary:
• €50,000 – €80,000 (pro rata, depending on experience)
Working Pattern:
• 1.0 WTE (Offaly and Laois)
Essential Qualifications
• Recognised professional Social Work qualification
• Registration with CORU
• Previous experience in a similar setting is highly desirable
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• Experience working with young adults with mental health difficulties and developmental conditions
• Strong skills in assessment of young people and family systems
• Experience delivering evidence-based interventions
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Sound knowledge of legislation, policy, and best practice relating to children and young people
