I’m currently working with a national Child and Family Agency to recruit Professionally Qualified Social Workers for a rolling nationwide campaign.
This organisation plays a key role in delivering essential services to children, young people, and families across Ireland, with a strong focus on child protection, welfare, and early intervention supports.
About the Role
As a Social Worker within a Child and Family Agency setting, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting vulnerable children and families within the community.
You will be involved in a mix of assessment, intervention, and ongoing case management, working closely with families to achieve safe and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop care/intervention plans
- Manage a varied caseload within child protection and welfare services
- Provide support, guidance, and advocacy to children and families
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external services
- Attend case conferences, reviews, and court where required
- Contribute to service development and best practice initiatives
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Social Work
- CORU Registration
- Experience or placement in child protection, family support, or related services
- Strong communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
- Full driver’s licence and access to transport (desirable)
