The Role
An experienced Site Manager is required to oversee the operation and maintenance of solar PV assets in the Galway region. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant site performance while leading technical teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
This is a hands-on position combining technical expertise with operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all operational resources across assigned PV sites
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities in line with contractual KPIs
- Lead, supervise, and support field technicians
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues when required
- Identify and implement plant improvements, retrofits, and upgrades
- Manage supplier warranties and service agreements
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards
- Interface with grid operators and relevant local stakeholders
- Support commissioning and mobilisation of new sites
- Recruit, train, and develop maintenance teams
- Implement and manage preventive maintenance plans
- Be available to respond to site emergencies when necessary
Requirements
- Degree in Electrotechnical Engineering or similar
- Minimum 3 year's experience in a similar role within renewable energy
- Strong knowledge of medium voltage systems and power electronics
- Experience with maintenance management systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Fluent in English
- Full driving licence
- Willingness to travel as required
