Site Manager – Restoration & Conservation

Our client, a leading Irish construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a major restoration and conservation project in Westport.

This is a great opportunity to work on a unique project involving historic building restoration, conservation, refurbishment, new-build and external works.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the project, including:

• Managing site teams, subcontractors and specialist trades
• Overseeing restoration and conservation works
• Coordinating conservation and new-build works
• Working with the Project Manager, engineers and design team
• Managing materials, plant and resources
• Ensuring all works meet H&S, quality and environmental standards
• Resolving site issues and keeping the project on programme

Requirements

• 5+ year's experience as a Site Manager or similar
• Experience in restoration, conservation, refurbishment or heritage projects
• Strong subcontractor and specialist trade management experience
• Good knowledge of Irish construction H&S requirements
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and construction details
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Previous experience delivering projects in Ireland

Restoration/conservation experience is highly desirable.
