Working with a busy construction contractor, FRS Recruitment are seeking a Site Manager for a public sector building project in County Clare.

This is a substantial new-build development that will involve the delivery of a modern two-storey facility together with extensive external works, site infrastructure, landscaping, drainage and associated ancillary works. The project has recently commenced and offers a long-term programme, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to oversee the build from an early stage through to final handover.

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team, you will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining programme targets, driving quality standards and ensuring Health & Safety compliance across all phases of construction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily site operations and project delivery
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel
  • Ensure works are completed in line with programme
  • Maintain high standards of quality across all activities
  • Enforce Health & Safety procedures on site
  • Monitor progress and address any site issues promptly
  • Liaise with project management and design teams
  • Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
  • Attend project meetings and provide progress updates
  • Support successful project completion and handover

Requirements

  • Relevant construction qualification or trade background
  • 5+ years' experience in a Site Management position, ideally in Ireland/UK Construction Industry
  • Proven experience delivering building projects
  • Strong leadership and organisational abilities
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Good understanding of construction methodologies
  • Strong focus on quality and Health & Safety
