A leading Irish civil engineering contractor is seeking a Junior / Intermediate Site Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure and utilities projects across Ireland, with strong career progression on offer.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying using GPS, Total Station, and levelling equipment
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams
- Monitoring site progress and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting quality control processes and inspections
- Assisting with health & safety compliance on site
- Resolving technical queries and supporting project delivery
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 1–5 years’ experience in a Site Engineer role (civil projects preferred)
- Strong setting-out experience
- Good understanding of construction practices and standards
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Full driving licence
Desirable
- Experience in roads, utilities, or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software
- Experience on public infrastructure or utilities projects
