We are seeking a Shift Production Technician for our client, a high volume 24/7 manufacturing facility (injection and silicone moulding, automated assembly) in Listowel. The Shift Production Technician will provide support to the shift supervisor including troubleshooting, process optimisation, mould changes, and breakdown repairs. The technician helps maximise production output while maintaining strict quality standards
The working week will be Monday to Friday - day or evening or night shift; candidates seeking alternative shifts such as weekends will also be considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily production to achieve maximum output and quality, while reaching cost targets.
- Assist with machine maintenance, mould changeovers, and process optimisation.
- Assist with monitoring production performance, reject levels, and material usage.
- Ensure adequate materials and efficient resource deployment during assigned shift.
- Promote safe work practices and maintain cleanroom/hygiene standards.
- Complete required documentation accurately and conduct effective shift handovers.
Requirements:
- Ability to prioritise, communicate objectives, and support employee training.
- Display reasonable knowledge of the company’s products and raw materials.
- Ability to follow company policies and report issues to management promptly.
- A minimum Level 5 or 6 qualification in engineering or a relevant field is required.
