About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation and residential care service supporting adults with acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, complex trauma, and long-term care needs.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred assessment and intervention services, working closely with residents, families, carers, and the wider MDT to maximise communication, swallowing, independence, and quality of life outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication and dysphagia assessments.
  • Develop, implement and review evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Manage a varied neurological and complex care caseload.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary assessment, rehabilitation planning and discharge processes.
  • Provide education, training and support to families, carers and staff.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with professional and legal standards.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and accreditation standards.
  • Support junior staff, students and therapy assistants where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated resident care.

Requirements

  • Degree or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current CORU registration
  • Experience working with adults presenting with neurological conditions, acquired brain injury, dysphagia and complex communication needs.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
  • Full clean driving licence desirable.
