FRS Recruitment are working with a well-established Irish main contractor to recruit a Senior Site Manager for a Heritage building project in Westmeath.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a significant restoration, renovation and extension project, combining the preservation of a historic structure with the construction of a high-quality modern extension. The project is expected to run for over two years, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to oversee the development from an early stage through to successful completion.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, design team and subcontractors, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations from commencement through to completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and project stakeholders.
- Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with programme.
- Monitor quality standards and oversee all inspection processes.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and documentation.
- Resolve technical and construction-related issues as they arise.
- Lead site meetings and communicate effectively with the project team.
- Promote high standards of Health & Safety across all site activities.
Requirements
- Experienced Site Manager from a main contractor background, ideally within the Irish/UK Construction Industry.
- Previous experience delivering building or public sector construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage projects through all construction phases.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and quality management procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and site activities.
- Heritage or conservation project experience is highly advantageous.
- Relevant construction qualification together with a valid Safe Pass.
