Senior Quantity Surveyor – Structural Steel

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with 5+ year's experience, ideally within structural steel, fabrication, engineering or construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from tender through to final account.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Prepare tenders, estimates, BOQs and cost plans.
• Obtain and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Manage variations, valuations, claims and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate cost reports and commercial records.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ year's Quantity Surveying experience.
• Degree/qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
• Structural steel, fabrication or construction experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and estimating software skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Commercially focused with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
