FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established Civil Engineering Contractor, supporting major infrastructure projects across West Cork and the wider Munster region.

This is a senior commercial position within a well-established team, offering responsibility across the full commercial delivery of long-term framework and public-sector infrastructure projects.

With a strong pipeline of work across Munster, the position offers excellent long-term stability and the opportunity to play a key role in the commercial delivery of major projects.

Responsibilities

  • Take commercial ownership of major civil infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare valuations, variations and monthly commercial reporting.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and commercial performance.
  • Manage contractual matters, claims and commercial project risks.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and engineering teams.
  • Support and mentor junior members of commercial teams.
  • Oversee projects through delivery and final account stages.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant construction discipline.
  • Strong Senior Quantity Surveying experience within Ireland or UK.
  • Civil engineering or infrastructure experience is highly advantageous.
  • Strong contractual, commercial and cost management knowledge required.
  • Proven experience managing projects from a commercial perspective.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Full driving licence required.

Salary & Benefits

  • €80,000 – €97,000 salary, depending on experience.
