FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established Civil Engineering Contractor, supporting major infrastructure projects across West Cork and the wider Munster region.
This is a senior commercial position within a well-established team, offering responsibility across the full commercial delivery of long-term framework and public-sector infrastructure projects.
With a strong pipeline of work across Munster, the position offers excellent long-term stability and the opportunity to play a key role in the commercial delivery of major projects.
Responsibilities
- Take commercial ownership of major civil infrastructure projects.
- Prepare valuations, variations and monthly commercial reporting.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and commercial performance.
- Manage contractual matters, claims and commercial project risks.
- Work closely with Project Managers and engineering teams.
- Support and mentor junior members of commercial teams.
- Oversee projects through delivery and final account stages.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant construction discipline.
- Strong Senior Quantity Surveying experience within Ireland or UK.
- Civil engineering or infrastructure experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong contractual, commercial and cost management knowledge required.
- Proven experience managing projects from a commercial perspective.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills required.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Full driving licence required.
Salary & Benefits
- €80,000 – €97,000 salary, depending on experience.
