Overview
A well-established disability service provider is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a Children’s Disability Network Team. The service supports children (0–18 years) with complex needs, including intellectual disability and autism, working within a family-centred, interdisciplinary model.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention to children and families
- Manage a caseload effectively, including prioritisation and waiting lists
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to support holistic care planning
- Contribute to Individual Family Service Plans
- Supervise junior staff and students
- Support service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance
- Liaise with families, schools, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to relevant policies and standards
Requirements
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
- Experience working with disability services (paediatrics or adults)
- Strong clinical skills in assessment and intervention
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous supervision experience desirable
- Full driver’s licence and access to a car
