Safety Officer – Pharmaceutical Project

On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking an experienced Safety Officer to work on projects within a Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Westport, Co. Mayo.
This is a full-time, site-based role offering a attractive salary and the opportunity to work on a high-profile project in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with Health & Safety legislation
- Implement and monitor site safety procedures
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks
- Report and investigate incidents and near misses
- Liaise with site management, contractors, and client representatives
Requirements
- Relevant Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Safety Officer
- Experience on pharmaceutical, industrial, or similar regulated projects is a strong advantage
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently on a busy site
