Our client is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join a major programme team delivering a large-scale capital and transformation initiative in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive risk professional to play a key role in ensuring effective risk management across a complex, high-profile programme.
Working closely with programme leadership, PMO and project workstream leads, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing and managing programme risks, developing robust risk frameworks, and providing strategic risk reporting to support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, assessment and proactive management of programme and project risks throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Facilitate risk workshops across multiple programme workstreams to identify and evaluate risks.
- Develop, maintain and continuously update the programme risk register.
- Coordinate quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, including:
- Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA)
- Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA)
- Monte Carlo Analysis
- Develop and maintain programme risk models and frameworks aligned to project scope, budgets, schedules and resources.
- Monitor the implementation of risk mitigation actions and ensure timely completion by responsible stakeholders.
- Support contingency planning, risk cost profiling and the appropriate management of contingency budgets.
- Review and enhance risk management policies, procedures and governance processes.
- Produce high-quality risk reports, dashboards and presentations for senior management and governance committees.
- Capture and communicate lessons learned throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Monitor quality metrics and KPIs to identify emerging issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with the PMO Lead to continuously improve programme risk management processes.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- A QQI Level 8 qualification in Architecture, Engineering or Surveying (or an equivalent qualification recognised in Ireland).
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of programme and project risk management methodologies.
- Experience supporting large-scale capital projects or transformation programmes.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to produce clear reports and present risk information to senior leadership.
- A proactive approach with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
