Registrar in Palliative Medicine

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and motivated Registrar in Palliative Medicine to join a specialist multidisciplinary team within a modern 8-bedded inpatient palliative care unit in the North West of Ireland.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly supportive environment focused on delivering exceptional specialist palliative care to patients and families across inpatient, community, and outpatient settings.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients with life-limiting illness
- Work collaboratively within an experienced multidisciplinary team
- Participate in symptom management, end-of-life care planning, and family support
- Contribute to teaching, audit, and continuous service improvement
- Gain valuable experience in specialist palliative medicine within a patient-centred service
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Irish Medical Council
- Previous clinical experience at Registrar level
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine interest in palliative medicine and holistic patient care
