We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic oncology team in Waterford. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary environment while developing your professional skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the highest standard of care, ensuring patient safety at all times.

  • Act as a preceptor/mentor to student nurses and support new staff.

  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care.

  • Accept accountability for the holistic care of assigned patients each shift.

  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.

  • Maintain compliance with clinical policies, risk reporting, and hospital accreditation standards.

  • Participate in clinical audits, research, and the implementation of evidence-based practice.

  • Administer, store, and manage medications safely according to statutory guidelines and NMBI standards.

  • Develop skills to act as shift coordinator/team leader, including workload management.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

  • Minimum 1 year post-registration oncology experience – essential.

  • Completion of SACT or chemotherapy course – essential.

  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

  • Open to international applicants; however, candidates must meet all requirements and be registered with NMBI.
