My client, a leading manufacturer of Concrete and Precast construction materials, based in Co. Meath. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial and financial management of a diverse range of projects. Working closely with Project Managers, clients, contractors and internal teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining strong commercial control.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates, quotations and purchase orders for projects.
- Manage and administer construction contracts, including Public Works Contracts and NEC.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare valuations, payment applications, cost reports and financial forecasts.
- Track project progress and identify potential cost overruns, risks and corrective actions.
- Assess and negotiate variations, contractor claims and extensions of time.
- Agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
- Support the selection of contractors and negotiation of contract terms.
- Provide commercial updates and reports to Project Managers, clients and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project records and support claims and dispute resolution where required.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure alignment between project programmes, costs and delivery.
- Identify opportunities to optimise costs through alternative materials, methods and designs.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Requirements for the Quantity Surveyor Include:
- Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or similar commercial role.
- Experience within Civil Engineering or construction would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly Public Works Contracts and/or NEC.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and IT skills.
- Strong commercial and project management understanding.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
