As part of continued success, our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in South Dublin.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a broad range of infrastructure projects including utility works, electrical infrastructure upgrades, water infrastructure projects, road improvement schemes, bus infrastructure developments and public realm works throughout the Dublin area.

This position offers exposure to both public and private sector projects, with a strong pipeline of secured work and excellent long-term career prospects.

The role offers a good mix of both site and office-based responsibilities, working Monday to Friday. Our client is seeking candidates with at least 2 years' quantity surveying experience, ideally gained on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

Experience working within the Irish or UK construction market would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial aspects of infrastructure projects
  • Prepare valuations, variations and cost reports
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance
  • Procure subcontractors and suppliers
  • Manage subcontractor accounts and payment applications
  • Support contract administration and change management
  • Assist with forecasting and commercial reporting
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities
  • Liaise with project teams, clients and suppliers
  • Contribute to successful project delivery and profitability

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
  • 4+ years' quantity surveying experience
  • Experience within utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding
  • Experience managing variations and cost reporting
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Irish/UK experience highly advantageous
  • Full clean driving licence required
