A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking a Site-Based Quantity Surveyor to join their team on projects in West Cork.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with 2–5 years’ experience looking to further develop their career on infrastructure and utilities projects.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the commercial management of civil engineering projects from start to final account

Prepare monthly valuations and payment applications

Support the management and agreement of variations and change orders

Carry out measurement and valuation of completed works

Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts

Assist with subcontract procurement and commercial management
-
Review subcontractor payment applications
-
Maintain accurate commercial and cost records
-
Support the preparation and agreement of final accounts
Requirements
-
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar
-
2–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
-
Experience within civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure projects is desirable
-
Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
Full driving licence
