Working with a well-established civil engineering contractor, FRS Recruitment are seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in in the Midlands
The successful candidate will be primarily based from office, with regular site visits to projects across the Midlands. Working as part of an experienced commercial team, you will support the successful delivery of a diverse range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, including public realm developments, road improvement schemes, utility infrastructure, drainage works, earthworks and commercial developments.

Responsibilities
- Support the commercial delivery of multiple civil engineering projects.
- Manage subcontractor packages, payments and contractual documentation.
- Prepare valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and commercial performance.
- Produce regular cost reports, CVRs and commercial updates.
- Assist with estimating activities and tender submissions.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
- Work closely with project teams to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
- 3+ post-graduate Quantity Surveying experience, ideally in Civil Infrastructure
- Previous experience within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of cost reporting, valuations and CVR processes.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and commercial software.
- Excellent commercial awareness with strong communication skills.
- Chartered status, or working towards chartership, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work to demanding deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
