Qualified Accountant – Accountancy Practice
Location: Co Kildare.

I’m currently recruiting for a Qualified Accountant to join an established accountancy practice in Kildare
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Practice Accountant who enjoys the technical side of accountancy and is comfortable taking ownership of their workload. Working closely with the Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a key role within the practice, with responsibility across accounts preparation, taxation, compliance and financial reporting for a varied client base.
The position offers a high level of autonomy and would suit someone who is confident managing accounting assignments from initial preparation through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and finalisation of annual accounts and financial statements for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Preparation of accounts from trial balance through to completion
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Preparation and filing of Corporation Tax returns
- Preparation and completion of Income Tax returns
- Preparation of VAT and PAYE returns and associated compliance requirements
- Preparation of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Capital Acquisitions Tax (CAT) returns
- Completion of CRO filings and associated company secretarial requirements
- Preparation of financial information and supporting schedules as required
- Reviewing bookkeeping records, identifying adjustments and ensuring accounts are accurate and complete
- Managing accounting and tax assignments across a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
- Ensuring all statutory, Revenue and CRO filing deadlines are met
- Maintaining accurate working papers and supporting documentation
- Working closely with the Managing Director across the accounting and taxation requirements of the practice
- Supporting the efficient day-to-day delivery of accounting and compliance services
Candidate Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
- Good working knowledge of Irish taxation, including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, CGT and CAT
- Experience with CRO filings and statutory compliance requirements
- Highly organised with the ability to work independently and take ownership of workload
- Strong IT skills and experience using accountancy and tax software
