About the Opportunity

FRS Recruitment is currently recruiting a QC Officer on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to join a growing organisation that supplies high-quality print and packaging solutions to well-known brands across Ireland and Europe.

This is a hands-on, production floor-based role where quality is at the centre of daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

If you have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and experience within a manufacturing quality environment, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out quality inspections on printed labels and packaging products throughout the production process.
  • Verify colour consistency, print registration, barcode accuracy, artwork compliance, and overall product quality.
  • Approve or reject production batches in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify, investigate, and document quality issues and non-conforming products.
  • Manage and maintain the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) process, including internal issues, supplier concerns, and customer complaints.
  • Support new product introductions, press approvals, and production trials from a quality perspective.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in implementing corrective and preventative actions to reduce defects, waste, and rework.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure products comply with all relevant industry regulations, customer requirements, and labelling standards.
  • Promote and support health and safety standards across the production environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience within print, packaging, labelling, food manufacturing, or a related sector would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of quality inspection procedures and quality management principles.
  • Experience managing NCRs, root cause investigations, and corrective action processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the confidence to make informed quality decisions.
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with production teams, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

What's on Offer

  • Salary DOE.
  • Career progression opportunities within a growing organisation.
  • Modern manufacturing facility.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards.

Important Information

Please note that this is a predominantly production floor-based role. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and spending a significant portion of their day conducting inspections and quality checks on the factory floor.
