Our client, a well-established Irish main contractor, is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team on a residential development in Galway County.

This is a predominantly site-based position, working closely with the site management team while reporting to the Commercial Manager based from the company's Galway City office.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial delivery of the project, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle while working within an established and supportive team.

With a strong pipeline of residential and public sector developments secured across the West of Ireland, this position offers excellent long-term career prospects and the opportunity to progress within a growing contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial delivery of the residential development.
  • Prepare valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Administer PWC and RIAI forms of contract.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets and cash flow.
  • Procure subcontractor packages and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Manage subcontractor valuations, payments and final accounts.
  • Attend commercial and site meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate commercial and contractual documentation.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years' Quantity Surveying experience, ideally in Ireland or the UK.
  • Main contractor experience highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of PWC and RIAI contracts.
  • Experience managing subcontractor accounts and variations.
  • Good commercial awareness and cost management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Cubit experience advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
