FRS Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a well-established construction contractor seeking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor for a significant public sector building project in County Clare.
The project consists of a substantial extension together with associated site infrastructure, external works and ancillary facilities. Having recently commenced, this is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to become involved from an early stage and play a key role throughout the full project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will work closely with both the commercial and operational teams, managing subcontractor procurement, cost reporting, valuations, variations and final accounts. This position offers strong exposure to all aspects of project delivery while providing excellent long-term progression opportunities within a contractor that continues to expand its project portfolio across Ireland.

Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial aspects of the project lifecycle
- Prepare and submit valuations and payment applications
- Monitor project costs and maintain budget control
- Procure subcontractors and manage package awards
- Assess and agree variations throughout the project
- Prepare cost reports and commercial forecasts
- Review subcontractor accounts and payment applications
- Support the preparation of final accounts
- Work closely with site and project management teams
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- 3+ years' Quantity Surveying experience, ideally in Ireland/UK Construction Industry
- Previous experience with a contractor preferred
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting systems
- Ability to manage multiple commercial priorities
