An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing engineering organisation with a clear ambition to develop a best‑in‑class Engineering function.

Reporting to the Engineering & Quality Manager, the Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving structured project delivery, strengthening engineering capabilities, and supporting long‑term organisational growth.

The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring full compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and recognised project management methodologies. This role requires strong leadership, a structured mindset, and the ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams while managing multiple project priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Compliance

  • Deliver projects in line with established project management methodologies and compliance standards
  • Ensure full adherence to internal procedures, policies, and quality systems
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including project plans, risk registers, design reviews, and reports
  • Participate in regular project quality audits and reviews

Project Team Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate cross‑functional project teams
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and deliverables for all stakeholders
  • Chair project meetings and provide clear updates to management
  • Escalate risks or obstacles to ensure timelines and team effectiveness are maintained

Scheduling & Deliverables Management

  • Develop detailed project schedules, milestones, and timelines
  • Monitor progress against plans and implement corrective actions where required
  • Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and visibility on project status and risks
  • Ensure delivery against agreed scope, quality, and deadlines

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and tools
  • Drive lessons‑learned reviews and embed best practices
  • Support Lean and other process‑improvement initiatives
  • Promote efficiency, innovation, and operational excellence

Change Control Management

  • Establish and manage robust change control processes
  • Assess, document, and approve or reject project changes
  • Ensure effective communication and integration of changes into project plans
  • Minimise disruption while maintaining scope, quality, and schedule

Engineering Function Development

  • Support the development of a high‑performing Engineering function
  • Contribute to defining project standards, tools, and best practices
  • Mentor team members and support professional development
  • Collaborate with leadership to build a best‑in‑class engineering capability

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of project management frameworks (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile)
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and scheduling skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and solutions‑focused mindset
  • Experience in change management and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ project management experience within an engineering or technical environment
  • Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) is highly desirable
  • Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent
