Engineering Project Manager – Ireland & UK

Primarily based at Navan site (with travel to UK & IRL sites)

Operations & Engineering Manager (IRL & UK)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead and deliver site projects from detailed design through to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. You will also play a key role in enhancing engineering standards and processes across our Ireland and UK sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end delivery of capital and operational projects across multiple sites.
- Ensure all project work adheres to safety, environmental, and permit-to-work standards.
- Lead teams through detailed design, CAR approval and project execution phases.
- Coordinate contractors and ensure full compliance with ZeroHarm company policies.
- Source cost‑effective engineering solutions and liaise with OEMs/suppliers to maximise ROI.
- Plan, coordinate, and communicate effectively with all site departments to ensure project efficiency.
- Complete project snag lists, handover documentation and maintain accurate site records.
- Support Maintenance teams with complex engineering issues and recurring downtime analysis.
- Identify equipment reliability issues impacting site KPIs and support Capex planning.
- Drive continuous improvement and best‑practice engineering across all sites.
- Maintain regular communication with Operations & Engineering Manager, Plant Managers, and site teams.
- Travel frequently to UK & Ireland sites to ensure project progress and alignment.
- Support design activities, attend OEM/Unilin sites for information sharing when required.
- Carry out additional tasks related to the role as requested by management.
Key Requirements
- Engineering Degree or Mechanical/Electrical apprenticeship qualification.
- Minimum 8 years’ engineering experience (manufacturing industry preferred).
- 5+ years’ senior-level Project Management experience.
- Strong decision-making ability with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Highly motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication, organisational, analytical, and numerical skills.
- Proven problem-solving ability with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple sites simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD tools.
- Flexible working hours to meet project needs.
