About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly capable Project Engineer to support the launch and scale up of innovative products within a medical device manufacturing environment. This Project Engineer role plays a pivotal part in bridging product development and full-scale production, ensuring that new technologies are introduced efficiently, compliantly, and cost effectively.

You will be directly involved in transitioning products from early stage engineering through to operational manufacturing, overseeing equipment deployment, process validation, and production ramp-up. The position offers significant exposure to cross functional collaboration and end-to-end project ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle engineering projects, from feasibility and design through validation and production handover.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including equipment specification, installation oversight, qualification, and commissioning.
  • Design, refine, and optimise manufacturing processes to improve throughput, reliability, and cost performance.
  • Partner with internal teams across Product Development, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and external vendors to deliver aligned project outcomes.
  • Apply structured root cause analysis and data-driven methodologies to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including technical specifications, validation protocols, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Track project milestones, manage budgets, and mitigate risks to maintain delivery timelines.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating lean principles and emerging technologies where appropriate.
  • Provide guidance and technical mentorship to less experienced engineers within the team.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or similar).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a project engineering, manufacturing engineering, or technical delivery role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-phase engineering projects in a production or technology-led environment.
  • Solid understanding of project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models) and familiarity with planning tools such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent systems.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with a structured approach to problem solving.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
  • Comfortable operating both independently and within cross-functional project teams.
  • Experience with CAD platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) is advantageous.
  • Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are beneficial but not essential.

On Offer

  • Exposure to high impact engineering projects
  • Opportunity to influence process design, product scale up, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborative team culture with opportunities for professional growth and technical leadership.

If you are motivated by delivering engineering solutions that translate innovation into scalable production, I encourage you to apply.
