Our client is continuing to secure major infrastructure and utility projects throughout Dublin and is now seeking a Project Engineer to support project delivery across a variety of live sites.

Projects include electrical infrastructure upgrades, utility installations, water infrastructure projects, road improvement schemes, bus infrastructure developments, public lighting works and associated civil engineering activities throughout the Dublin region.

The role offers a good mix of both site and office-based responsibilities, working Monday to Friday. Our client is seeking candidates with at least 2 years' experience within the utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering sectors.

Experience working within the Irish or UK construction market would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of utility and infrastructure projects from commencement through to completion
  • Provide engineering and technical support to site teams and project managers
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and construction crews
  • Assist with project planning, programming and resource management
  • Monitor site progress and maintain project documentation
  • Prepare QA records, as-built information and project reports
  • Liaise with clients, utility providers, local authorities and stakeholders
  • Support permitting requirements, traffic management and utility coordination
  • Assist with cost monitoring and project performance reporting
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental standards

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • 2+ years' experience within utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering
  • Experience on power, water, utility or infrastructure projects desirable
  • Strong technical, organisational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of utility works, permitting and traffic management advantageous
  • Ability to coordinate multiple project activities simultaneously
  • Irish/UK experience highly advantageous
  • Full clean driving licence required
