My client, a leading food manufacturing company is looking for a Production Planner to join its team based on their busy site in North Co. Dublin

This is a great opportunity for someone with planning experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment who enjoys working in a fast-paced operation and collaborating with multiple teams across the business.

The Opportunity

As Production Planner, you'll be responsible for creating and managing daily production schedules, ensuring materials, resources and production capacity are aligned to meet customer demand.

Working closely with Production, Purchasing and Warehouse teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining efficiency, reducing waste and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage daily production schedules in line with business priorities
  • Ensure raw materials and ingredients are available to support production plans
  • Coordinate production activities to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime
  • Monitor ingredient usage and help reduce waste
  • Communicate key planning information across departments
  • Identify and resolve potential issues relating to stock, labour or capacity
  • Work closely with Production, Purchasing and Warehouse teams to maintain operational flow
  • Attend daily planning meetings and respond to changing business requirements
  • Maintain accurate planning records and documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the planning function

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Production Planning role, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and planning systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
