Head of Operations
West Cork | Full-Time | Permanent
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Head of Operations to take ownership of a busy food manufacturing operation in West Cork.
This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for production, people, quality, food safety, maintenance, procurement and customer requirements. Working closely with senior management, you will drive day-to-day performance, resolve operational challenges and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily production, scheduling and overall site operations.

Lead and develop the production and operational team.

Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, BRC and hygiene standards.

Manage milk supply, stock control, procurement and supplier relationships.

Coordinate preventative maintenance, equipment breakdowns and calibration.

Manage customer requirements, complaints and operational planning.

Support new product development and drive operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
-
Proven experience in a senior Operations, Production or Site Management role, ideally within food manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and BRC requirements.

Experience managing people, production schedules, stock and procurement.

Understanding of maintenance coordination and production equipment.

Excellent leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.

A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and accountability.

The ability to manage multiple priorities and see issues through to resolution.
