The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Product Application Engineer to join a growing Low Voltage Distribution Switchgear Centre of Excellence.
This is a customer-facing technical role supporting utility, renewable energy and industrial markets. The successful candidate will translate customer requirements into practical, technically sound and commercially viable solutions, working closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management and Operations.
Key Responsibilities

Support customer prequalification, technical approvals and vendor onboarding.

Prepare technical responses for tenders, frameworks and major projects.

Develop technical cost models and commercial inputs for quotations and tenders.

Provide application and technical support to customers, partners and Sales teams.

Support product selection, specification and solution design.
-
Identify customer and market requirements and translate them into development opportunities.

Support product testing, validation, field trials and new product introductions.

Develop technical documentation, application guides and training materials.

Represent the organisation at customer meetings, industry events and technical forums.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

5+ year's experience in utility, electrical distribution, renewable energy or industrial markets.

Experience in application engineering, product development, technical sales or product management.

Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage distribution systems and associated products.

Understanding of relevant industry standards, utility specifications and product qualification processes.

Experience with product testing, validation and qualification.
-
Strong customer, communication and relationship-building skills.
-
Good commercial awareness and the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
