My client, an iconic public sector organisation is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Procurement Specialist to join its Procurement team. About the Role
Reporting into the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will manage end-to-end procurement activities across a broad range of goods and services categories. You will support strategic sourcing initiatives, lead tendering processes, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes in line with EU Directives, public sector regulations, and internal policies
- Plan and execute tendering activities across multiple procurement procedures
- Prepare, issue, and evaluate tender documentation to support robust and transparent decision-making
- Conduct strategic sourcing activities including RFQs and mini-competitions
- Lead supplier negotiations to achieve best value and commercial outcomes
- Support timely contract award and maintain accurate procurement records
- Develop and implement contract management plans throughout the contract lifecycle
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships effectively
- Track spend against budgets and develop KPIs to support performance management
- Conduct regular contract reviews to ensure compliance and ongoing value for money
- Support the development of SOPs and drive process improvement and automation initiatives
- Liaise with Government Departments and internal stakeholders on procurement and public spending requirements
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Qualification in Public Procurement (minimum Level 6 or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within a public procurement environment
- Experience managing procurement and tendering processes
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
