Process / Plastics Engineer – Cavan Region
Are you an experienced process engineer with 2+ years’ experience in polymer, plastics, or chemical manufacturing? Based in — or willing to relocate to — Cavan, Longford, Leitrim or surrounding areas? This is a career-accelerating role with a global manufacturing leader.
Your Role:

Monitor, analyse, and optimise polymer manufacturing processes for yield and quality

Lead process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency initiatives

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions (CAPA)

Support scale-up of new products, formulations, and process changes

Maintain SOPs, process documentation, and operating parameters
-
Use statistical tools and engineering methods to drive continuous improvement

Assist with commissioning, trials, and validation of new equipment

Requirements:
-
2+ years’ experience in polymer, plastics, or chemical manufacturing

Solid knowledge of extrusion, injection moulding, compounding, or polymerisation
-
Experience with process control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma preferred)

Familiarity with ISO or equivalent quality systems
