FRS Recruitment is currently seeking a Principal Medical Social Worker on behalf of a hospital in North Dublin . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Social Worker to step into a senior leadership role within a multidisciplinary hospital setting.
Duties & Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and management of the Medical Social Work service within the hospital

Oversee clinical governance, including complex case management, safeguarding, and service delivery standards

Lead and support a team of 6 Medical Social Workers, including supervision, performance management, and staff development
-
Coordinate and manage referrals, caseload allocation, and service priorities within the department

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care, discharge planning, and service development
-
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and professional standards

Contribute to service planning, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development
Requirements
-
CORU registration
-
5 years post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years at Senior Medical Social Worker level

Experience managing and leading a team

Experience working within multidisciplinary teams

Experience providing supervision to Social Workers
