Practice Supervisor
Are you passionate about high-quality care and supporting others to excel in their roles? We’re looking for a Practice Supervisor to help develop and guide our health and social care assistants, ensuring the highest standards of home care and support for our customers.
About the Role
As a Practice Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager with the efficient running of our services. You’ll oversee the performance and development of healthcare assistants, ensuring they have the training, guidance, and support needed to provide safe, effective, and person-centred care and home support.
Key Responsibilities:

Support & Supervision
– Work closely with care assistants, providing guidance, training, and assessing competencies to maintain high standards.

Quality & Compliance
– Monitor care delivery, conduct quality reviews in customers' homes, and implement service improvements as needed.
✅
Customer-Centred Care
– Ensure each customer receives tailored support that respects their wishes, dignity, and independence.
✅
Team Collaboration
– Work alongside coordinators to match care assistants with customers, attend first visits, and support care schedules.
✅
Emergency On-Call Support
– Assist with out-of-hours support, responding effectively to emergencies and ensuring care continuity.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience in health or social care, with a strong understanding of person-centred care and home support.
✔
Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and supervise a team.
✔
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
✔
A proactive and compassionate approach to care.
Essential:
✔
QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (or equivalent)
✔
Minimum 2 years home care experience
✔
Full driving licence with access to a car for work
✔ Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant / Home Support Worker
Desirable:
✔
QQI Level 6 Health Service Supervisory Management
✔
Previous supervisory/mentor experience
✔
Experience with Onetouch rostering system / quality systems / audits

This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Galway City office in Parkmore.
Pay: From €38,000.00 per year depending on experience and qualifications
