Practice Accountant – Part Qualified

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Practice Accountant – Part Qualified to join a growing professional services team in Limerick.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years' experience working in an accountancy practice and will be ATI qualified or currently studying towards ACCA or ACA.

This is an opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in practice who is looking to take the next step in their career, develop their technical and client-facing skills, and take on increasing responsibility.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with:

• 2–3 years' experience in an accountancy practice
• Experience in accounts preparation
• Experience with VAT and tax returns
• Good general accounting knowledge
• ATI qualification or working towards ACCA/ACA
• Some basic audit experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines
• Confidence communicating with clients
• A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Experience with QuickBooks Online and Sage Accounts Production is desirable but not essential.

The Role

You will work across a varied client portfolio, with responsibilities including:

• Accounts preparation
• VAT, Corporation Tax and Personal Tax returns
• General accounting and bookkeeping
• Client liaison and responding to queries
• Client administration
• Assisting with bank account applications
• Tour and project accounting
• Managing your own workflow and deadlines

What matters most is having a strong practice background, good accounting fundamentals and the desire to develop.
