Our client, a leading supplier of construction plant and heavy equipment, is seeking a Construction Plant Fitter Supervisor to join their modern workshop in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to combine hands on engineering with team leadership while working on a wide range of premium construction machinery. You will play a key role in supporting the Workshop Manager, ensuring the workshop operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor and support a team of Construction Plant Fitters and apprentices while assisting the Workshop Manager with daily workshop operations.
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of construction plant and heavy equipment.
- Plan and coordinate workshop activities to ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Complete pre-delivery inspections, prepare used machinery for resale and carry out customer and warranty repairs.
- Promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, excellent housekeeping and compliance with Health & Safety and ISO procedures.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Construction Plant Fitter or equivalent mechanical trade qualification.
- Previous supervisory experience or a Senior Construction Plant Fitter looking to progress into a leadership role.
- Strong experience maintaining, repairing and fault finding on heavy construction plant and machinery.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads effectively.
- Competent IT skills, with experience using ERP or Microsoft Dynamics systems being an advantage.
