The Role
Our client, one of the largest brokers in the west of Ireland, based in Longford, is looking for an experienced Personal Lines Broker to join their team. Tasks & Duties
- Handle customer queries by phone and email, and look after all aspects of their policies, including renewals and mid-term adjustments
- Advise on and sell Car, House and Van Insurance, along with ancillary products
- Prepare quotes and compare options across the panel of insurance companies to recommend the most suitable cover
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and the insurer panel
- Support lead generation and sales initiatives, including cross-selling additional products
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure all work meets compliance and fitness and probity standards
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
- Grandfathered, APA or CIP qualified, and able to comply with the fitness and probity standards
- Experience dealing with insurance clients and personal lines policies
- Excellent telephone manner and customer care skills
- Strong telesales and customer service skills
- Good communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and the panel of insurance companies
- Able to work as part of a team and use your own initiative to meet deadlines
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Energetic, motivated and disciplined, with a positive attitude
- Excellent IT skills (Relay experience is an advantage but not necessary)
