FRS Recruitment is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Person In Charge to join a leading intellectual disability service based in Cork. This service aims to empower individuals with the necessary skills to encourage them to live fulfilling and satisfying lives as equal citizens of their local communities. In your new role you will:
- Manage client care to ensure the highest professional standards using an evidence – based approach to ensure clinical efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure a high quality of life for residents through health promotion, person centred care plans, reviewed and personal risk assessments.
- Lead in the evaluation, implementation and monitoring of Health and Safety legislation within the service.
- Actively promote the participation of the residents in the planning of the centre.
- Manage the staff team efficiently, address staff developmental needs and monitor performance of staff and provide feedback to staff at regular intervals.
- Supervise assigned students on work placement and volunteers where required.
To be a successful candidate you will have:
- A minimum QQI Level 7 in Social Care and CORU registration.
- A recognised Managerial Qualification in Health or Social Care.
- A minimum 3 years’ Supervisory Experience within the Healthcare sector
- Experience working with adults with complex needs in residential/ respite or day services.
