About the Role
FRS Recruitment are seeking a motivated and professional Dental Nurse to join a busy and supportive HSE dental team in Galway on a temporary basis. This flexible role offers either part-time or full-time hours, making it ideal for candidates seeking adaptable working arrangements within a public healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a wide range of clinical procedures
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment
- Ensure strict adherence to cross-infection control and sterilisation protocols
- Provide chairside support and reassurance to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support administrative duties, including appointment scheduling where required
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, safe, and compliant with HSE standards
Qualified Dental Nurse Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Dental Nursing
- Registration with Dental Council of Ireland
- Proven experience working in a dental practice or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
