An established renewable energy organisation operating nationwide is seeking an Operations Manager with a strong electrical background to join its team.
The Company
My client is a growing business within the renewable energy sector, focused on delivering solar PV and heat pump solutions. The company is entering a key phase of expansion and requires strong operational leadership to support scalable growth, improve delivery performance and implement effective structures across the business.
The Role
This is a senior leadership position with full responsibility for the day-to-day management of installation activities. The successful candidate must have a strong electrical background, combined with proven operations management experience.
The Operations Manager will take ownership of operational performance, develop systems and processes and build a high-performing team.
Duties include:
- Leading and managing electrical installation teams, surveyors and support staff.
- Ensuring solar PV, heat pump and related installation projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
- Providing technical and operational guidance across electrical installation activities.
- Designing and improving operational processes and workflows.
- Increasing installation capacity while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Monitoring KPIs and delivering structured performance reports.
- Coordinating across sales, design and administrative functions.
- Overseeing quality control and improving the customer experience.
- Supporting the development and integration of the heat pump division.
- Managing supplier relationships and improving logistics efficiency.
- Driving continuous improvement through performance data and operational feedback.
Requirements
- A strong electrical background is essential.
- Proven operations management experience within electrical contracting, construction, renewable energy or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations, ideally including solar PV, heat pumps or other renewable energy systems.
- Experience managing field-based electrical teams and multi-site operations.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to develop and implement operational systems and processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A hands-on approach with a clear focus on delivery, quality and results.
Location
This is an onsite role based in Shannon, with responsibility for overseeing multiple operational activities nationwide.
